Born in Colorado Springs, CO in 1951, Bonnie St. James is the middle of five children.  For most of her childhood she lived in Tucson, AZ and Southern California.  At the age of 27, the innate art and music culture of Nevada City, CA drew her to relocate to the Sierra Foothills of Northern California. She loves art, music, great food, amazing wine, and traveling the world.  Bonnie is a self-made woman with a successful career in publishing and is the proud mother of two very creative, and successful grown children. 

Bonnie’s initial venture into art began with charcoal and pencil drawings. When she transitioned into watercolors, Bonnie found her love of color and movement, which, for her, could be best expressed through acrylics on canvas. Today, she finds her home on five acres in Nevada City to provide a beautiful and inspiring setting for her artwork.
